Alastair Campbell’s Top Gear secret

I’m just back from a day’s reporting on a fleet conference and have come back with a story that’s a bit different from the normal fleet lines.

Guest speaker was Alastair Campbell, former PM spin doctor extraordinaire, who went down a storm with the assembled fleet managers.

Before he explained his philosophy for succeeding in business (more on that later), he told the audience a secret far more interesting than anything political.

Alastair CampbellHis opening words were: “I’ll let you into a secret I’ve been practicing at Mercedes-Benz World for the Top Gear show’s star in a reasonably priced car. I’m doing it tomorrow.”

Anyone want to venture a guess as to how he’ll do?

I think, given his clearly competitive nature, and going to the extent of practicing, he could be a contender in the new reasonably priced car the Kia Ceed.

Mind you, the Clarkson interview could be interesting given the political differences of the two.

I’ll certainly be watching on Sunday.

is there any chance they will combine that section with the ‘being chased by a tank/helicopter’ feature? Please!
