Guerrilla marketing on Google Maps

I tried this idea some time ago, but because of the speed with which pictures take to be approved for use on Google Maps (very slowly) I forgot about it, until now.

About a year ago I was running a long term test of a Volvo XC60 for BusinessCar magazine.

Given that I seemed to be all over the country in the car I thought it would be fun to post images of the car in various locations on Google Maps.

I’m surprised that a brand hasn’t used the idea yet (correct me if I’m wrong on this), or maybe they have, but the Google police have removed the pictures.
