March 2010 roundup

March kicked-off with coverage of the Geneva motor show for BusinessCar. Nothing unusual there, but this was back-at-base coverage doing the fast-turn on news putting the latest unveils online from my office back in Surrey.Geneva Motor Show reveals included the new Micra

It was the first time in seven years that I’d not been to the Geneva show.

Not being at the show also meant I could attend the BVRLA dinner where it was good to catch up with a lot of fleet contacts and resulted in a story for BusinessCar (which paid for my parking fine – doh!).

The following week I was on the Alfa Mito Cloverleaf launch for the Sunday Express. Which interestingly has so far only appeared in print and not online – rare these days.

I did a stint back in my old office covering BusinessCar Editor Paul Barker’s leave. It was great to back and catch up with former colleagues, not to mention the buzz of a press day.

My final trip of the month was out to Verbier, Switzerland with Nissan to drive the 4×4 version of the facelifted Qashqai and do a bit of skiing, some of those antics can be seen on YouTube.

As well as a drive story for the Daily Express, I also picked up some interesting news for Just-Auto too.
